Article 1 Visa and residence permit is an important certificate for the legal residence of foreigners in China, and the students are required to ensure the validity of the documents during the period of China.
Article 2 According to the Ministry of education, visa processing，fees collection and attendance rate must be closely integrated.
Article 3 For regulating the international education college students’ visa behavior, strengthening visa management, standardize the order of the school visa, according to the provisions of the financial regulations of the educational laws and regulations, combined with characteristics of our institute, this system is developed.

Chapter II visa processing agency and the rules for the handling of visa application
Article 1 The international education college office of the Dalian Medical University in charge of the visa issues for the students.
Article 2 The students who need to do the visa extension have to finish the payment at the beginning of the semester and prepare the entire relevant visa materials hand in the office before the university specified date.
Article 3 The students’ visa or residence permit renewal time of the university only within the university specified date.
Article 4 If the students did not complete the visa or residence permit extension procedures before the university specified date, the students can go to the college office to prepare the relevant materials, and to go to the exit and Entry Administration of the Dalian Municipal Public Security Bureau for the extension procedures by themselves. If the student can’t go to the security bureau, and need the university to do the visa extension instead, the student has to pay the agency fees 500 Yuan / person.

Chapter Ⅲ The principle of extending the visa or residence permit
Article 1 According to the provisions of the Ministry of education and the entry and exit administration, the international students’ visa application is closely related to the tuition fees. The international students, who can complete the full year tuition fees on time at the beginning of each school year, will get one year residence permit extension. If the student can not complete the fee within the university specified time, the student will get two months to six months residence permit which is according to the amount of the payment.
Article 2 The fresh graduate students’ residence permit only extended to the graduation date. The spring student extended to the following year January 15th, and the autumn students extended to the following year July 15th.
Article 3 For the students who intend to do the internship out of China, the residence permit will only be extended to July 20th or January 20th before they leave.
Article 4 For the scholarships students, the residence permit will be extended for one year at the beginning of every school year.
Article 5 The extension date of the residence permit shall not exceed the valid date of the passport.
Article 6 The students' family member’s visa extension date shall not exceed the valid term of the student visa.

Chapter Ⅳ the procedure of doing visa and residence permit and the extension period
Article 1 The students shall apply for the extension of residence permit 30 days but no more than 60 days in advance, or the application will be dismissed.
Article 2 The students shall hand in the payment receipt and all relevant materials to the college office for visa or residence permit extension.
Article 3 The teacher will review and submit the payment receipt and related materials to Dalian exit and entry administration.
Article 4 In normal circumstances, the extension of visa extension takes 7 working days to be done, and the residence permit requires 15 working to be done. Except in special circumstances, there is no expedited service.

ChapterⅤThe relevant provisions of cancelling the visa and residence permit
Article1 If the student change the study status, such as temporary withdraw, withdraw etc, must go to the university office to apply for the materials of cancel the original visa, then go to the security bureau of Dalian to change the residence permit to short stay visa, and leave China within the valid date of visa.
Article 2 If the student attendance is not enough, the university will make the decision to give the students disposable warning. If the circumstances are serious, the university will make the decision to order the student to quit, cancel student’s visa and shall not apply for a visa extension.
Article 3 If the student who can not finish the payment on time, or always delay to pay the fee, and the circumstances are serious, the university will make the decision to order the student to quit, cancel student’s visa and shall not apply for a visa extension.
Article 4 If the student violates the university discipline, the university will be according to the situation to give the student punishment, such as warning, ordered to quit school etc. If the circumstances are serious, the university will make the decision to cancel student’s visa and shall not apply for a visa extension.

Chapter Ⅵ Notes
Article 1 X1 visa can only be changed to residence permit, can not directly apply for X2 or change to the short stay visa.
Article 2 L or F visa, apply the x2 visa, can apply for the validity period of the entry is not more than 1 year, stay for a period not more than 180 days of zero, one, secondary or multiple entry visa. The duration of the stay since the date of entry, total no more than 1 year.
Article 3 Residence permit renewal of short stay visa does not exceed 30 days.
Article 4 F visa, short-term visa and stay visa are not allowed to change to residence permit.

Chapter Ⅶ Supplementary Provisions
Article 1 The students should strictly abide the relevant provisions of the “Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China" and “The implementation details of; the Exit and Entry Administration Law of the People’s Republic of China".
Article 2; If the visa expire, the students have to bear all the risks by their own.
Article 3 The right of final interpretation belongs to the office of the International Education College.
