I. Program Introduction
The Chinese Government Scholarship “High-level Postgraduate Program” is a full scholarship set up by China’s Ministry of Education to select international graduates with excellent academic background, professional ability and development potential.
II. Scholarship Program
1. Degree: Doctoral & Master’s
2. Medium of Instruction: Chinese or English

III. Scholarship Standard
The program provides full scholarships from the Chinese government. The funding details and specific standards are subject to the information published by the China Scholarship Council (http://www.campuschina.org).
IV. Eligibility
1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens in good physical and mental health.
2. Applicants for doctoral programs must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40, applicants for master’s programs must have a bachelor degree and be under the age of 35.
3. Applicants should have good conduct, without any record of violation of school rules and regulations, nor any record of public security punishment or criminal record.
4. Applicants should have excellent grades and clear purpose of studying in China, with a GPA of 3.0 or above in the previous academic year without failing or repeated subjects.
V. Language requirements
1. Chinese Medium Program: Applicants must reach a score above 180 in HSK 5 or provide other comparable certificates proving Chinese proficiency.
2. English Medium Program: Applicants from non-English-speaking countries must reach a score of 6.5 in IELTS (6.0 or above for each item) or above 90 in TOEFL (20 or above for each item); or provide other comparable certificates proving English proficiency. Applicants from English-speaking countries or receiving the last degree with the instruction in English are exempt from submitting the English proficiency certificates, but the certificate of English medium issued by the school graduated from shall be provided.
VI. Application Time
By December 30, 2025.
VII. Application and Enrollment Review Process
By December 30, 2025, applicants should register their account at Dalian Medical University’s International Student Service System (https://dmu.17gz.org/), fill in personal information accurately and upload required documents.
VIII. Pre-admission result
Before March 1, 2026, the University will notify the applicants of the pre-admission result and provide pre-admission notification via email or International Student Service System, and applicants should submit their applications in the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login). The receiving agency number for DMU is 10161, Program Category is Type B.
IX. Others
The China Scholarship Council will organize experts in relevant disciplines to make final review of the applicants’academic performance, comprehensive quality and development potential, and selects the best candidates. The scholarship applicants who are not enrolled will be given priority if they are willing to apply for our self-financed programs.
X. Notes
1. Once enrolled, scholarship recipients are not allowed to change their major, study period or language of instruction.
2. Students granted with Chinese Government Scholarship must participate in the annual evaluation after they enter the university, and the evaluation result will be used to confirm whether the scholarship will be provided, suspended or canceled in the next academic year.
