On the afternoon of June 26, 2024, Dalian Medical University's 2024 Summer Commencement Ceremony of International Students was held in the lecture hall of the library. DMU Vice President Shao Shujuan, IEC Dean Lu Wei, IEC Vice Dean Gao Peng, and all faculty of IEC attended. A total of more than 300 individuals, including graduates, their parents, relatives and friends, etc. participated in the ceremony. The ceremony was chaired by IEC Vice Dean Gao Peng.

Before the ceremony, students from Sri Lanka performed the warm -up dance for the audience.

Lu Wei read the “Decision on Degree Conferral for Summer 2024 International Students at Dalian Medical University”. Shao Shujuan issued degree certificates to doctoral graduate students, master's degree students and undergraduate graduates.

IBRAHIM from Chad, and NIZARDEEN from Sri Lanka spoke as graduate representatives. They solemnly thanked their alma mater for the cultivation of international students, expressing that no matter where they are in the future, they will continue to shine as DMU alumni, inherit the spirit of DMU, tell the Chinese story and spread the Chinese voice.

Finally, Lu Wei issued a certificate to five outstanding graduates.

In the summer of 2024, a total of 118 international students from 33 countries, including Sri Lanka, India, Thailand and Pakistan, graduated successfully. Graduates from all over the world and with different skin colors have spent a wonderful time in the most beautiful campus of DMU. Graduation is not an end, but a new start. The international graduates will give full play to what they have learned and seen in DMU, be good ambassadors of friendly exchanges between China and foreign countries, and contribute to the promotion of building a community of human destiny.
