2023 Spring International Students Opening Ceremony Held by

International Education College

On the afternoon of Mar 10th, the International Education College (IEC) held the 2023 International Students Opening Ceremony. Dean of IEC, Doctor Lu Wei and vice dean Kitty attended this meeting, together with all faculty and staff and more than 256 international students.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr.Lu showed her warm welcome and set expectations to all the students. Dr.Lu wishes all of you could enjoy yourselves in the bright and beautiful campus in DMU, and will succeed in your studies and trainings, and promote the medical communication between China and your countries!

Then, student representatives: Inuka from Sri Lanka and Maryam from Iran gave a speech. They expressed the joy of overcoming the various difficulties brought by the epidemic and getting together in DMU. They will take DMU as the starting point of the their medical career, and work hard to become an excellent doctor.

Next, vice dean, Ms Kitty introduced three aspects: the history of college, the development and achievement of college, and the notes for studying abroad. After her detailed introduction, all students had a preliminary understanding of the development of the college and the rules and regulations of the university.

Later, Ms. Pink from teaching office, Ms.Sophia from general office, Mr.Micheal from admission office and Mr. Peng from Chinese teaching and research department introduced the provisions of curriculum and examination, the knowledge of passport and visa, the enrollment registration and Chinese learning knowledge, respectively.

Next, Kitty, Pink and Micheal issued certificates to students who actively participated in Lei Feng's volunteer activities and students who awarded in the medial drawing competition.

At the end of the ceremony, all the students were wearing a white coat to make their vows as a medical student. The opening ceremony was successfully ended.
